    A Typical Day - Monday ~ Thursday

A schedule will be sent for each specific location. Fishkill/Newburgh has available housing and meals for participants. Other locations will be provided with suggestions for housing, but no formal package.

    8:30 - 9 AM: Arrive at Schneider's Fishkill Bowl.

9 - 9:30 AM: Program begins. About 15-20% of time is classroom instruction, with the majority of time spent on the lanes bowling with instruction.

    12:30 - 1:30: Lunchtime

1:30 - 4:00 PM: On lanes with instruction

5:00 - 6:00 PM: Dinner, followed by various evening activities (summer location only).

Note: On the day you arrive check-in at Mount Saint Mary College (Gutzman Hall) between 1-3 PM for the students attending the resident camp, and by 5 PM at  Schneider's Fishkill Bowl if you are a day camper (no housing). The next morning we begin the 5 days of instruction. On the last day, we close with a graduation and celebration of our week.  We love spectators and encourage you to come early and watch; our program will be finished by noon.

    Housing and Meals

Students enjoy evening activities at the housing facility in the evenings

Students enjoy a variety of activities at the housing facility during the evenings, such as a carpet bowling tournament shown above.

This is an optional item, in addition to camp tuition. During the summer program in New York , we offer a housing package, which has been designed to provide the best accommodations in the area, which make it efficient and economical.

In 2013, our package includes breakfast and dinners at The Mount in the dining hall on campus, and lunch will be served at the lanes. Our staff resides at The Mount, providing supervision and guidance during the week.  We have planned evening activities for everyone.

The package includes local transportation from the Mount to the lanes each day; for those (adults or youth) who stay there, the flavor becomes very "camp like".

Students of all ages enjoy staying at The Mount  and participating in evening activities. In the photos above, students gather for a game of monopoly and celebrate the completion of a puzzle with Dick Ritger.

Because the price is attractive, both youth and adults are encouraged to stay with us in the dormitory at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh over looking the Hudson River.  All buildings are secured and air conditioned; each room is equipped with wireless internet, refrigerator, microwave, and bathroom.

Price for our supervised housing package is $426 per person (double occupancy) or $461per person (single occupancy).  It includes 5 nights lodging, 3 meals per day, local transportation, and selected evening activities.

All students are encouraged to stay with us, however some students choose to handle their own housing accommodations.

Complete housing package information will be sent to applicants approximately 6 weeks prior to the start of the program.

At all of our locations outside the summer camp location, we provide suggestions for housing, but no formal package with meals and activities.

     Register online

When submitting an application, please remit  tuition deposit of $200 and $50 housing deposit if you are taking advantage of the housing package. The tuition for the Dick Ritger Five Day Bowling Camp is $529. This includes five days of individual and group lectures and instruction in all phases of the sport of bowling. Remaining balance of total fee ($329 camp + $376 double housing = $705)  full payment is due 6 weeks before the beginning date of your program.  Installment payments are acceptable; you may make payments as it is convenient for you through the online registration form. Once you have set up an account; you can make payments anytime (24/7) safely, quickly, and easily from your home computer.   If you are only attending camp; the remaining balance is $329, full payment is due 6 weeks prior to the start of your program.  Online registration is the preferred by the office.  Click on the link of the front page of the website.

A separate housing package is offered at our summer programs to provide meals, housing and local transportation for out-of-town students. For other camp locations, we offer suggestions on housing but no formal package. Information follows your application. Check-in is on Sunday (the first day of your program) between 1-3 PM at Mount Saint Mary College for the resident bowlers and by 5 PM for the day campers, at Schneider's Fishkill Bowl.

No refund of deposit unless we are notified 6 weeks before opening date. In that event, we will deduct $50.00 administrative fee and refund the  balance. No deposit is ever lost. Credit for that total will be made available for a future session for any applicant or person designated, within one year.
